Experienced and new choristers came together to connect, learn, and grow — exploring voice production, handbell ringing, Afro-American percussion, music theory, and exciting new repertoire. The energy and camaraderie were palpable as voices blended and friendships blossomed.
The highlight of the week was a field trip to hear the Ed Fast & CongaBop Quintet, an ensemble renowned for its dynamic Afro-Cuban jazz. Their performance was a masterclass in rhythm and cultural fusion, reminding us once again that music is a universal language — bringing people from diverse backgrounds together in harmony.
By the end of the workshop, our choristers sounded as though they’d been singing and working together for years. Their unity and musicality were truly inspiring.
